| Grade 1: My School and Family
This is a hands-on curriculum with student-centered, activity based classrooms. Students are given the opportunity to explore the children’s personal experiences and their initial understanding of themselves in relation to their families and homes. Gradually, children expand their understanding to include their school while answering essential questions such as: Who am I? Why do schools have rules? How are families special? How are families different around the world? How does climate affect my family? What is happening in our community?
