| Grade 2: My Community
The Central Bucks School District curriculum for second grade is aligned with the Pennsylvania Academic Standards of Civics and Government, Economics, Geography, and History. These standards are woven into every unit. In second grade, the social studies curriculum continues work begun in first grade, and focuses on communities. Students will gain an enduring understanding that a community is a place where people live, work, play, and solve problems together. The course of study will also help students answer the essential question: How does where you live affect how you live?
